Training & Workshops for Corporations
The mental health and wellbeing of employees is increasingly recognized as an important avenue for corporations and organizations to be considering. As such, I offer practical and accessible workshops and speaking engagements on mental health and wellbeing, in an effort to support organizations to care for their members.
I love to work together with organizations to develop and tailor workshops to their membership’s needs. It’s important to note that all workshops and presentations serve as an educational resource, and are not a form of psychological intervention, including psychotherapy or group therapy.

Content: This presentation provides an overview of anxiety, along with practical tools and applications for managing anxiety. This includes prominent theories of mental health overall and more specifically anxiety, when anxiety becomes problematic, and evidence-based coping strategies for anxiety. This workshop can be tailored to specific populations or stressors, such as a workplace or working with vulnerable populations, in order to equip participants to respond optimally to the stressors they encounter.

What are coping strategies, and how do they work?
When should someone seek professional help?

Content: At some point in our lives, most of us will be affected either directly or indirectly by chronic illnesses, which can impact our mental health and well-being. This presentation offers an overview of the connection between health and mental health, with a special focus on chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease and more. This presentation will cover actionable steps for coping with the psychological effects of chronic illness.
Some topics that will be discussed include:
The connection between chronic illness and mental health
The psychological impacts on those with a chronic illness and their support systems
Coping strategies, building resilience, approaches to manage stress, and where to find additional support
Ways to support a loved one with a chronic condition

Intended Audience: general public
Content: Many of us have had the experience of navigating grief following the death of a loved one, or have supported others through such a difficult period. This presentation discusses grief and bereavement, and how we can support both ourselves and loved ones through periods of grief, particularly related to the death of a loved one.
Some topics that will be discussed include:
What is grief?
What are some expected symptoms of grief?
How to cope with grief and bereavement
How to support loved ones through grief and bereavement

This workshop reviews some of the common emotional, psychological and social experiences of people impacted by cancer, including both patients and their loved ones. We discuss common concerns like fear of recurrence, identity challenges, body image concerns, and relationship challenges that can arise as we navigate a cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery. This workshop will also talk about how we can support people impacted by cancer.
